Long Creek Vineyards Winery just east of Decatur Illinois has pulled in another 5 medals on their Vintage 2007 wine line-up. Four medals were honored by the Illinois Wine Competition which was held at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on June 8-10. Commercially, this competition is open to all Illinois wineries throughout the state. The competition awarded 233 medals to this year’s competition entries. The fourth medal was received from the Indy International Competition just one week later. The Indy International Wine Competition is the largest scientifically organized and independent wine competition in the United States, the world's largest wine market. More than 3,000 commercial entries from 12 countries and 39 US states were evaluated by 80 distinguished judges. Wine writers and winemakers, winegrowers and enologists, chefs and sommeliers, wine distributors, retailers and consumers met in Indianapolis, the heart of America, a truly central place for wines to be seen and recognized.

Long Creek Vineyards wines can be tasted and purchased every weekend at their Long Creek Facility.

Their tasting room hours are Fridays from 4 – 8 pm; Saturdays from 12 – 7 pm; Sundays 12 – 5 pm.
